CHESP
E-Newsletter!

  Welcome to the first edition of the CHESP e-newsletter! Beginning April 7th, this newsletter will arrive in the your inbox on the first Wednesday of every month.

  Serving as a tool to continually improve our projects and increase our collaboration, the newsletter will have several regular features. We'll work to keep you up-to-date on service learning resources and funding opportunities. We hope to showcase some project successes, and keep you abreast of collaborative projects and activities.

  Finally, the newsletter will be made available on the CHESP website, so you can refer to any issue at any time. Happy reading!

Maurice R. Robinson Mini-Grants
The Robinson Mini-Grant Program is designed to enable students to develop problem-solving and citizenship skills through service learning.

Teacher Quality Enhancement Grants Program
The purpose of this program is to provide grants to promote improvements in the quality of new teachers, with the ultimate goal of increasing student achievement in the nation's K-12 classrooms.

Involvement Survey

  National Youth Service Day is  April 16th and 18th. There are  four lead agencies in Florida,  including ManaTEENS.

  Also leading activities are Hands  on Miami, Hands on Orlando,  and Tampa Bay Academy of  Hope, Inc. Find out how your  students can get involved by  visiting the Youth Service  America web site.
